Consulting on Entertainment and Event Technology qualification reviews: Call for feedback!

Skills Active Aotearoa, in our role as Qualification Developer, is committed to ensuring that all qualifications are current, fit for purpose and meet the needs of industry.

We are consulting on the review of the qualification offerings for the Entertainment and Event Technology industry:

  • New Zealand Certificate in Entertainment, Event and Screen Production Technology (Level 4) with strands in Entertainment Rigging, Lighting, Audio, Vision, Stage Management, Stage Mechanics, Scenic Construction, Screen Assistant Direction, Gripping, Screen Production Assistant, and Screen Special Effects [Ref: 3417]
  • New Zealand Certificate in Entertainment and Event Technology (Level 5) with strands in strands in Entertainment Rigging, Lighting, Audio, Vision, Stage Management, Stage Mechanics, and Scenic Construction [proposed]
  • New Zealand Diploma in Entertainment and Event Technology (Level 6) with strands in strands in Entertainment Rigging, Lighting, Audio, Vision, Stage Management, Stage Mechanics, and Scenic Construction [Ref: 3430]

This work has included the review of the existing Level 4 qualification in conjunction with both the Entertainment and Event Technology industry and the Screen Production industry.  This project also undertook the design of a new qualification at Level 5 and the review of the Level 6 qualification.

We are seeking feedback on the:

  • Draft qualification matrix (Levels 4-6)
